California is awesome. I love the way they performed thos songs live. If you can get the bootleg from the Snowcore tour or the Bizarre festival where the open with What The World Needs now and play the excellent medley of Travolta and Lauren Hill's Doo Wop That Thing

there were videos of what the world needs now andthe travolta thing (ei raat tomar ama) on youtube, the travolta one has been taken down, which i'm pretty gutted about :( but the what the world needs now one is still up there. i love them both. i wish i had them downloaded insteadof just on youtube. travolta/ei raat tomar ama is wonderful, the first time i saw it i though how brilliant it would be to be just sat/lying there on the grass and just relaxing. well apart from all the 'I WANNA SEE YOUR DICK YOU FAT FUCK' stuff at the beginning.

i know.

it's weird because i saw it first a while back, and i watched the first minute or so and i thought 'what the fuck is this' and didn't really give it any more though. but then after listening to astronome, and really liking it, i came across the video again and i liked it a lot more, probably because i knew more what he was getting at. john zorn that is. i still feel hesistant saying i like that kind of stuff in case it makes me sound like a pretentious fuckwit, but i do.

i want to watch it again but i know it'll make my computer crash.

oh yeah and OMG HE'S TOPLESS SOOOOOOOO FUCKING HOTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!

That reminds me, I was looking at the Fantomas videos from Montreux, and this one person who posted them all made sure to put in the desription "OMG MIKE LOOKS SO HOT HERE HE'S ALL SWEATY AND AAAHH."

hahaha i've come across a few patton fangirls when i've been on the ipecac myspace checking for tourdates (easiest way). they're fucking mental.

i mean, i totally would if he wasn't nearly twice my age, but i don't like to go on about it. speaking of which, i actually felt pretty self conscious at the gig i went to because i was one of about 3 females there and probably the only one that wasn't either in my 30s or who looked like a man anyway. i just looked like a little girl and i didn't know what to do with myself when he was getting everyone to do the raucous laughter for the intro to sucker :(

haha. but he does more stuff in america, i should be over there :p

you know for all he's criticised for his ADD working style and whoring himself about, so to speak, i really really hope that one day i find something for myself that i'm as passionate about and motivated to do as he seems to be about music.

by the way, what's that in your avatar?

i feel exactly the same, but my passion is music. if i were to ever.."make it"..i'd want to devote all of my time and creativity into it. patton is really passionate at what he does, which makes him one of my favorite musician/songwriter/singer, etc. ever. i think i read somewhere that he writes about a song or more a day, it's kinda like a daily thing for him to do..like eat breakfast for example.

and in my avatar it's from the movie evil dead, the character ash (bruce campbell) is getting choked by his own hand that he cut off after it became posessed.

i wish i had the talent and versatility to dedicate my life to music. i play a couple of instruments but i have little creative talent, and also, one of the instruments is piano, so i can only play it during holidays at the moment and i don't know when i'll be able to afford to buy one for myself (i'm far too much of a snob to get a shit tinny sounding one :p). i would love to get into music more but i don't have the patience or talent really. maybe one day.

ahhh of course! i haven't seen evil dead but i know about it, ishould've guessed really. but until you said that it looked to me more like something was coming out of his throat, rather than grabbing onto it.

oh yeah, and here's another interview, if anyone's interested. it's not that new but never mind: http://www.stereowar...nterview_1.html
i'm glad he designed the packaging for the peeping tom album, i mean it's only a little thing but i love it and i think it's kind of cool. gimmicky or not i always like it if an album has good packaging, it makes it seem more worthwhile to 'own' it rather than just have it on your computer.

i always just assumed that that 'sweat' dripping off him was just spit dripping off his hand though. i mean you've got to spit a lot if you're shoving a microphone down your throat making a load of coughing and vomiting noises right?
