WOW. This is the most pleasant musical surprise I've had in a very long time. I'm on track 6 and so far this is a 10/10 album for me. I find it much more interesting than anything Omar's put out since 2010. Some of it kinda reminds me of Pull/Pulk Revolving Doors by Radiohead.

EDIT: Also vaguely reminds me of Letur-Lefr by Froosh...now I'm gonna have to check out that Flea album!

Weird, I don't hear anything that sounds like Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors in here. That song is fucking eerie and beautiful as well.

On subsequent listens, neither do I. I think I was reminded of it solely because of the dark/heavily percussive sound and feel. This album is great.

interesting uses of Prince samples

he should show more Prince to Cedric and Omar.

Rebel to Rebel samples I Would Die 4 U and Let's Get Hazy obviously takes from Let's Go Crazy. both Purple Rain songs

I'm digging this album more and more every time I listen to it. I almost felt like a total idiot for thinking it's nothing special at first listen. :walkman:

Amsterdam by Foot and Dead Confederate.

Everything else is great just to leave on, but those two seriously make my day.

I still haven't given this a good listen. Spending the weekend in Waterloo with some buddies, might pop it on at some point. Good chilling music I assume?
