Frontier Psychiatrist is the only CD single I've ever bought.

the avalanches are amazing, in small doses. i can't listen to this album all the way through, but i love just listening to a track or two every now and then. works good in party settings too.

I wouldn't use the word lame, Since I Left You is a very different album. I'm not a huge fan of Entroducing, so I'm not really applicable to compare them.

The Avalanches definetly have a sort of, short attention span to their music. At certain times, it hits the spot dead on, but the album doesn't go for a general feel. It's close to doing that, but comes up as an album with singles.

Two Hearts in 3/4 Time, Since I Left You, Stay Another Season, Close to You, A Different Feeling, Electricity, Etoh, and Summer Crane are all fucking sweet songs. The others are most horrible.

how many albums have 8 top-notch songs?

This was great, Etoh is a great song, but i feel like The Go! Team has made them obsolete.

I'm thinkin that Four Tet's, Smile Around the Face, is basically a huge ripoff of the Avalanches

Does anybody know what's happening with the second album?
I heard that they spent 5 years making it but their record company wouldn't help them release it because it wasn't "good enough" and there were copyright issues involved....but that may be false.

They have SOME other stuff (only on EPs and singles though)

I've never heard anything about it. I know they have a lot of remixes and stuff, but that doesn't really interest me..
