Descending is one of their best songs ever, IMO. The last four minutes are simply astounding.

That one didn’t stand out to me at first but it’s become the one that gets stuck in my head the most.

This album is a boring slog.  Chocolate Chip Trip is the only enjoyable song in this wank fest in 7/8 time

Definitely not a groundbreaking album but probably the most solid album.

Ha nice, mainly been listening to the cd version in my car. But in never really cared for the seiges on the other records either, except intermission.

Maybe Undertow takes the title then.

I do feel like the first interlude is something I’ve made just screwing around but can just accept it as a break between long songs. After realizing that this is what my life’s become listening to the new Tool album it’s not that bad. It’s not really good either but neither is the crying baby interlude in Ænima. The second one and mockingbeat I actually really dig.
