as much as the grammy's have been a total joke over the last 30 or so years, the nominations this year are really quite surprising and relevant. i mean, apart from the hard rock category...disturbed hahahaha.

it may be wishful thinking but imagine if the following nominees all won a grammy...

radiohead, lil wayne, m.i.a., daft punk, danger mouse, lupe fiasco, lady gaga, death cab for cutie, beck, kanye west, no age, metallica....not to forget tmv

it may just be me but that would be enough to restore my faith in the grammy's...for now

of course they could totally fuck it up again but at least there are some great acts being recognised in the nominations, as tmv fans we should all be pretty happy for them i say.

Odd. Reminds me of the 2000 Grammy's Best Male Rock Vocal Performance; it was Don Henley (something from "Inside Job"), Lenny Kravitz "Again" , something else, and Nine Inch Nails "Into The Void".

Thomas and Lil Wayne need to colab on the Grammys... I'd mark the fuck out.

I here Grammys make good ashtrays. I'd imagine that if they ever won a Grammy, they'd do something ridiculous with it!

I bet the Crue wins. Which is a joke, they suck.

Dr. Feelgood is awesome! That song is not suck. The rest of their songs do, though... oh nah maybe not Kickstart my Heart...

too bad the lower-level grammy awards (this included) are given out in a ceremony beforehand, not televised

shame

Rather than fucking complain about it, you should feel proud of the band.

Ooooh kay, read that as "husband"...

But agreed, every time the band does something that will either get them more recognition, more fans or more money, people whine. I'd like them to win.

I can totally see why Wax was picked and even though I know they deserve the award (and many others)... I hope they don't win.

In my opinion, these awards usually tend to ruin bands.

A better song could have been picked. And Wax was never really played on the radio in the first place, so something like Goliath could have just as easily been picked. Wax honestly ties with Vermicide as the worst Mars Volta song ever.

I don't think they will show up for this. I doubt they win.
TMV is not mainstream enough. Disturbed or Rob Zombie will most likely win.

Maybe next year with LP5 supposodly going to be the most "poppiest" album to date. Maybe then they will get a better shot of winning Grammys.

What's with all the hating on Wax Simulacra? Is it becoming another "I fucking hate The Widow" type thing because it was on the radio? It's a good song.

I don't hate Wax. Its actually one of the best "singles" they've put out.
I'm just being real. They don't have a good chance of winning.
But I hope they do win. It would help them grow.

Oh okay. Yea they definitely don't have a good shot at winning. The Crue will. It's kinda cool they are up for one though.

Since when are TMV "hard rock" and considered to be of a similar caliber to Disturbed? o___0

Ah well, I hope that they win. It'd give them some much deserved recognition. Plus if they do win then it'll piss of all the fags who say, "OMG, I can't listen to this band anymore, they're popular!! It's ruined! BAAAWWWWW!", although they'll probably still come here and bitch about it.
