Fuck the other RHCP thread. All my homies hate the other RHCP thread. This is the real RHCP thread where we post about news and updates regarding the popular funk-rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, aka RHCP, whose guitarist has played in the past with Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of the band Bosnian Rainbows and Kimono Kult, among others.

Here's the thing with RHCP. They're a massive band, with a multimillion dollar publicity machine behind them. Any time there is a new update on the band, it gets spread far and wide throughout the internet. It is therefore all the more important that users on tiny internet forums take it upon themselves to make posts about their latest updates. I mean, we're not talking about some unknown progressive rock salsa band here. This is RH, appears-on-SNL, song-gets-played-in-CVS motherfucking CP we're talking about here. In fact, one post isn't enough. Ideally, we would have at least 25 separate threads each time there is a new update on the band. We have to ensure that this already-massive band gets even more publicity. How else will Anthony Kiedis get that fourth house? How else will Flea be able to purchase a small farm in Bulgaria that produces Alpaca wool? And Chad...we know he likes his cocaine. Would you deny the stickman for RH motherfucking CP his nose candy?

Thanks for making this thread. I've wanted to extensively discuss their magnum opus, the seminal 1999 alt rock hit "Californication". Unfortunately I did not feel the original thread had the breathing space for my thorough intertextual analyses of the work, understanding how it weaves thinkers from Plato to Freud through its rich lyrical tapestry, and the resulting profound impact on my own life.
