Who wants to watch C-walk off himself? Movie is depressing.

I'm liking them, I just have the EP right now.

I must say...this band feels the most parallel to TMV I've ever heard. I can't explain why in any concrete manner...but they have that same epic feeling, with enormous amounts of emotion, odd genre fusions, and a LOT of progressive rock influences, as well as sometimes off-kilter ambience, and huge pace changes.

Oh...and "The River North, The Lake South" is basically one of the best albums I've ever heard.

I'm like it a lot. Unlike a lot of these Myspace/Purevolume generation, concept album toting bands who are heavily influenced by ATDI and TMV, they kind of carve their own niche by not relying too much on flashy, mathy guitar stuff. Some nice piano and horn arrangements going on. One of my favorite tracks is actually guitar-less: "The Lake South". Come to think of it, the EP reminds me a bit of Bend Sinister (a bit of TMV-styled prog meets Queen and Supertramp).

Wtf does Panic have to do with The dear hunter?
Btw, it's technically only one guy, Casey. He creates all the music on computer and just gets the guys to help out at shows.

Kinda dumb how people compared them to panic. They sound nothing alike.

I must say. I threw on "The Lake South, The River North" after not listening to it for awhile...and once again realized it is one of the best albums I have ever heard. What a masterpiece.

I can't wait til the new album, this is really great orchestrated pop rock. It's a huge misconception over here that he makes electronic music, only the demos for the first album were electronic, but since the EP, it's all been acoustic instruments. Really theatrical actually, I've heard 4 now off the new album, Red Hands is pop, The Oracles is bluesy, kinda carnival-ish, The Procession is straight up rock, and Dear Ms. Leading is also rock with a bit more groove, though. Listen to a few here:
