I'm sorry to say but they're merely okay live.
In terms of being worth the money to go to a show, no they are not worth it.

They're ok. But every song just has this monotonous feel to it. Like I feel like they are gonna go crazy but they just stay bland.

Also, I think ''The Glorious Nosebleed'' is one of the worst song titles ever.

They do have energy, but it's mostly just with the singer. The rest of the band just sorta stands there. Another thing is the singing live and on cd are completely different. He more kinda just screams and is really off-key live. They're by no means awful. Still one of the best bands I've seen. I have some videos of this in store they did so if anybody wants to see what i mean just PM or hit me up on AIM or something.

i dunno if english is your first language or not, but circa is an actual word...it means (roughtly) about at this time, especially when referring to unknown dates (like births and deaths)...like so and so was born c. 1345 (c. = circa)

I AGREE... i mean they're ok, but my friend INSISTED that we listen to the whole cd TWICE on the way to austin, after listening to it once i ended up saying fuck that and stuck speakerboxxx in.

Circa Survive in my mind is completley amazing although they get tagged with a lot of Mars Volta sound alike accusations the voice brings similarities but the music is far from being anything that touches TMV.

What? they sound nothing alike, in music or in the singers voice.

Heard the record at the record shop over the loudspeakers and had to get it. Thoroughly enjoyed the clean, intricate drumming and effective changeups. Some pretty good songs. One of the more interesting new bands I've heard. Highly recommend.

I was interested in listening to them after hearing that commercial promoting their record, but after I downloaded it *cough*, I realized about every song sounds the same--and it gets to repititive and bland.

end.
