I definitely do not assume Jakko is primary songwriter in KC...

So the Wolf Trap show still has not been refunded through to my credit card, and they previously announced the dates of April 24 and then April 27 for issuing automatic refunds for the cancelled show.  They also haven't replied to my first email from over 2 weeks ago, so I just followed up and again stated that I'll keep my tickets for 2021 if at all possible.  This seems like some sort of debacle on their end, as no clarification either way has been provided.

Oh well.

It's also a great angle of him playing fracture.

Rest easy to Keith Tippett, studio collaborative pianist of Poseidon, Lizard, Islands. What's your favorite song from his perspective?

Would have not added any new-old songs to repertoire this year apparently....we’ll see what next year brings!

To the Tippett question - cat food or islands (the song)?

Not playing the whole debut album in the 50th anniversary was a dumb decision

Disagree. Those shows were 90% old white boomers looking to hear the deep cuts. It's not a Fleetwood Mac concert where they just wanna hear Rumors.

Its not like they should've played it in the correct order. They played the whole red album before (sans providence of course) and no one complained. Im pretty sure pat mentioned they rehearsed "i talk to the wind". It wasnt performed since 1969 so id call that a deep cut

Agreed - as the current band has gone on, they’ve periodically done 3 songs in a row from a given album, but never a full album end to end, much less ANNOUNCING doing a full album. Part of the appeal of the band is a setlist that changes nightly on the whims of the band. Oh yeah, and great players doing their thing too. Wouldn’t shock me if they added I talk to the wind at some point - they do play some of the softer stuff from their history like that regularly so would be interesting to see...

Even moreso than seeing a "new old" song in 2021 (more specifically, B'Boom > THRAK) I now just want to witness Fracture with my own earballs.  Especially after the recent Toyah & Robert video of his practicising it, and this shit right here:

The way he talks in his blog would make one think that he plays it like everyday in practice mode. He’s mentioned how him practicing it regularly in the past at horn has driven his wife batty....

I for one hope maybe all this time at home without touring to do perhaps spurs on the muse and fripp writes some new material. That said, he seems very focused on writing the guitar craft book he has coming out this fall, so that seems to occupy a decent chunk of time. Will be curious to read that when it comes out, a full book written by fripp talking about his philosophies on music.
