Okay we're gonna start this album of the week thing. For details refer to this topic.

Just post an album which you think everyone should hear. And no, don't pick De-Loused.. everyone has heard that. Try to pick an album that not everybody has heard. It would be cool if you'd give a motivation for your choice.

I pick:

Hot Snakes - Suicide Invoice

One of my favorite albums at the moment. This stuff just plain rocks.. with some of the most beautiful guitar parts. It has ex-Drive Like Jehu members! Those who know DLJ should know that means they're good.

:drum:

The Blood Brothers - Burn Piano Island, Burn

If you like hardcore, or if you would like to get into hardcore, or even if you don't know what hardcore is, pick this up. Full of energy and interesting stuff. Pitchfork gave it a 9.2, by the way.

logh- everytime a bell rings an angel gets his wings

i believe they're known as simply Log in europe, but i could be wrong. This is a great cd of mellow guitar driven landscapes. soooo pretty. yum yum. They're sweedish dudes and have a new cd out, which i have not been able to get a hold of yet. stupid foreign canada

blackmail - friend or foe?

its the new album from one of the most famouse german "non mainstream" bands.
The album is not really that deep like some of the other albums which are named in this thread, but this album rocks.
It sound different to the other albums from this band just imagine a "qotsa-placebo-whatever-blackmail" mix.
I donīt know if you would like it, but for me its one of the best albums of this year.

Brendan Benson - Lapulco

this guy is the most underappreciated man on the planet, i saw him in bristol, England in a crowd of less than 100, chatted to him after, great guy. Buy ithis record, make him a star.

my pick is HIM - Razorblade Romance

This is my pick because this is just a perfect album. In my opinion there is not one bad song. HIM's type of music is Love Metal (also the name of there newest album) It has the hard music of metal, but is hs very lovely lyrics. HIM is my favorite band, there is just something that suked me to them, and made me love them. HIM is like no other band if anyone wants to maybe dowload a song from this album this is the track order.

01 - I Love You (Prelude To Tragedy)
02 - Poison Girl
03 - Join Me In Death
04 - Right Here In My Arms
05 - Gone With The Sin
06 - Razorblade Kiss
07 - Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart
08 - Heaven Tonight
09 - Death Is In Love With Us
10 - Resurrection
11 - One Last Time
12 - Sigillum Diaboli
13 - The 9th Circle [OLT]

---Other information---

Lead - Ville Valo

Drums - Gas Lipstick

HIM is a band from Finnland. They have yet to come to america and do shows, or even put CD's out here. They were going to come over sooner but there was alread a band called him (a band from chicago that sings about god). They didnt want to sell the rights to there band to HIM so HIM changed there name to HER. Soon after that HIM/HER was picked up buy the Universal record lable. Universal helped HIM/HER to buy the rights from him so now HIM/HER is know as HIM all over the world.

HIM CD's
1) 666 Way's To Love - 1996 (More of a EP, but I consider it a album)
2) The Greatest Love Songs Vol.666 - 1998
3) Razorblade Romance - 2000
4) Deep Shadows And Brilliant Highlights - 2001
5) Love Metal - 2003
