I like the first two Audioslave albums, mainly because it’s Cornell going full 1970s rock god. But Tom destroys a lot of songs on the 2nd album with his obnoxious whammy bullshit.

it felt overproduced but at the same time it was funkier so it kind of made up for it, but yeah not as good as the first ones. Out of Exile was my favourite by far, some really good bluesy songs, the debut was mostly Rage with a classic rock twist

Hahahahah I do always love how people are surprised when RATM gets played at protests....the bands whole shtick very clearly has always been rebellion and pushing back about WHOEVER is in power, no matter who or where. I mean they were railing against Obama during the Obama years! Hahahahaha and yes I know there is huge hypocrisy in them basically being socialists and yet being millionaire musicians, but that’s America ain’t it???

I mean, the name of the band itself pretty much sums up their ideology. Maybe some people think that with "machine", they are talking about like a coffee machine or so

No matter what people think, they are laughing all the way to the bank, and they make sick music so... PC people can go cry about it, it won't stop their music from being amazing.

Why is it hypocritical to be wealthy but also hold revolutionary views?

Well it's not like they own the means of production anyway, they just had a good career, giving away what little they have (compared to really rich people) wouldn't change anything. I think it's a misunderstanding that communism is tied to poverty or austerity.
