Will be curious if nothing this year what all they’re up to. Cedric does not have any known projects coming up and we know Omar has this cloud hills release as well as whatever other projects they have....

Have to imagine that if they really are planning to do the band that Omar has to be getting material together in the volta vein so that they have stuff ready for when it’s go-time. I know he always says he just writes with no band in mind, but come on we know that ain’t true!

Maybe if we were lucky and Omar sorted out all the footage rights, the forever gestating volta live dvd compilation thing will finally see the light of day? Would be a cool thing to get out before restarting the band....more likely though would be an at the drive in reunion tour / interalia album cycle documentary / live video thing as we know they also had lots of filming being done on the road and in studio that hasn’t seen the light of day...or maybe never will???

That doc will only happen when the band is over. Think about it, those documentaries always need an arc. So the perfect arc in the story is to show the split and then dive into the reunion of Omar and Cedric talking again in 2014, jump to a Volta reunion/album/tour etc. So they’d have to reunite first, make an album or two (whatever ends up happening). Film all of that first.

It’s possible it will never happen, or somebody will make it (perhaps Omar) when the boys are old and grey. Would be cool to see it happen in about 10 years.

That is really weird. How come Cedric deleted every tweet from the entire ATDI era? Basically from late summer 2016 to earlier this month?

He also recently responded to a dude about repressing Volta records. “When the band announces it, so will I”.

Erase the history, start again. Guess they'll be doing that with the band. Hope to hear something this year, but I doubt it.
