Here's a link to an interview I did with Marcel Rodriguez Lopez for SIGHT/SOUND/RHYTHM about a week ago in the UK. Hope you guys like it! SIGHT/SOUND/RHYTHM

There's also one with Deantoni Parks on there too that I did recently.

Thanks!

Thanks man. These are the first interviews I've ever done, the one with Deantoni being the first. It helps that both D and Marcel are really easy going and relaxed guys. Super friendly. Spent about an hour or so hanging out with D when doing the interview and despite being nervous before going in I felt totally at ease once things got going.

I played a couple of shows with Zechs last week and intended to interview Marcel for longer but ran out of time as we did it about half an hour before I was due to play. Really pleased with how it's turned out though and it's great to get such positive feedback from you all. Thanks a lot :)

I'll post more interview as and when they happen, maybe some more Volta related ones in the future. Updates will be posted on Twitter. Follow @SGHTSNDRHYTHM

Cheers!

Seems that Marcel is obviously musically more trained than Omar ; You can easily say that from the solos he played on the 2010 tour with Ximena on these unnamed songs. They have a clear jazzy-proggy feeling , actually very opposed to Omar's randomness in his improvisations.

Great great interview!!!!

Yea Marcel always takes time to look at the keys and think before playing something seemingly random and chaotic, you can really see it on that one over-the-shoulder cam of him doing Jacob 3 ;) with ORLG a couple years ago

Really cool that you're doing good interviews with cool musicians, and in a band yourself. Great way to get in with them and have a real, smart discussion. Keep it up! :)

Gotta say I like Zechs more than Bosinan rainbows these days. Kinda figured out if I have to force myself to like something then I proably don't like it very much, thanks Teri :death: you did what i did'nt think was possible ruin Omar for me. But I do very much like where Milliardo Peacecraft is heading. (Cue Confusion  )
