I've always thought of Incubus as being talented, but their effect on me has wore off.

I think I realized tonight why I think/thought they have talent to begin with--I played this album for one reason or another...

I forgot how fucking great S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is...their best album in my opinion.

Its good, but make yourself is better. Everyone here seems to like aclotm more. Its repetitive trash imo

I haven't listened to them in years, but if I wanted to I'd go straight to SCIENCE. It's easily their best.

SCIENCE is by far they're best, everything else just peters a bit. Listen to, I think, the answer or shaft on fungous. The riff is almost identical to the main riff in cygnus.

Ha. Funny that I read this topic just as I'm listening to S.C.I.E.N.C.E (Deep Inside)

I'm not sure about a favourite, this is my favourite if I feel really energetic, 'cause it's great to shout along to. I also love Morning View though, and I really like A Crow Left Of The Murder. Sick Sad Little World is awesome.

All the Incubus albums are great, in my opinion.

both awful albums.

Incubus would be better without Brandon Boyd and their old bassist back. I appreciate the new one's from the roots but he's shit.

yesterday i listened to S.C.I.E.N.C.E. again and i remembered how good is this album! and this morning i was listening to ACLOTM, good one too. i think can't choose a best album , Morning View has also its good songs: Mexico, Just A Phase, Wish you were here, Are you in?... finally, i love this band

in another topic i've voted for Make Yourself as best album a few months ago... but now i can vote for anyother one...(except fungus amongus, which i haven't got)

well maybe an important element to why they're famous- good looks, boy band voice and revolting sentimentality- but the guitarist is one of ther most innovative in pop music and the old bassist is of a very high standard with much musical maturity, something he showed even in the slappin' and poppin' days of fungous. Brandon's voice has always ruined it for me.

versatile? how is he versatile?

and you're right. they wouldn't be the same, they would probably be a little bit better. If you listen to fungous amoungous it is solely his voice that brings that album down and drags it through the mud. maybe for the soft, morning view pap(mexico's a good song) his voice is better suited but even on crow left..... he sounhds a bit cack.

maybe I'm a little harsh on him. His lyrics are good, I just really hate his boyband ways.

i don't think he has some mentality on trying to portray some boy band image. he just happens to be a good looking guy. girls will latch onto that no matter what band he would be in. it's superficial to judge him on that.

and i do agree that some of his latest sentimentality in his lyrics have been a bit...corny, but he comes across as honest, and he's consistent with it, as opposed to all of a sudden just writing love songs out of the blue.

i personally think he and mike eizinger make incubus what it is. i couldn't imagine teh band without either of them, and maybe the drummer after them. one thing i do admire about brandon boyd is his singing ability, because he's pitch perfect on record and live, and i'm really hard pressed to think of singes at the moment who can claim the same.

Has anyone else seen the 'Alive at Red Rocks' DVD? It's damn good, some parts of it, especially the jam session in 'Sick Sad Little World' really remind me of TMV.

I also think they would be much better if they got rid of the DJ and got a permanent keyboardist/sound manipulater.

incubus always struck me as 311 biters in the day, and then they apparently made the decision to stop doing drugs, have brandon take off his shirt, and make a lot of money.

i'm not a fan.

I really like Incubus a lot. I wasn't a fan of Morning View but other than that all theirs cds are great. SCIENCE is not their best at all though. Just their loudest.

My favorite would have to be A Crow Left of Murder. With the exception of Southern Girl that cd is just awesome.

true. although aclotm is so terrible it lets me enjoy morning view.
their new bassist is nowhere near as good as alex was.
on aclotm, brandon's voice isn't anywhere near as versitile as it was on make yourself or any previous album.

they need jim wirt to produce an album for them, maybe then they'll be as good as they used to be

(Listening to Nebula)

Grood choice. I still love them (FA - MY). My very first concert was Incubus. And on 4/20, too. Yizeah.
