Nardo would you please just make the "editted by" thing go away so people will stop complaining. Literally everyone the posts routinely on this board has their panties in a bunch over it.
I obviously don't have a problem with it cause it doesn't show up when I edit but I know it would bother me too. Plus I think it just makes a ton of posts look cluttered.

There is no such thing as "delete for 24 hours", at least not built-in. So this isn't happening.
I will consider the removal of "edited by" but I really don't see the problem. Do you guys have to edit your posts all the time? Why not take an extra second to proof read before you hit the post button. I need edit maybe once ever 20 posts, I wouldn't care if it said edited by. I feel like I explained my point of view over and over again already and I find this whole debate tiresome, bordering on annoying.

I just think the editted by thing looks bad and I don't care to know if/when a post has been editted.
I've editted this post 3 times now.

Yeah I really don't see a need for the edit note, I certainly don't gain anything from it and I would think most coma users who aren't mods would agree. You can always leave a note yourself if you want people to know you edited it, plenty of people already say "edit: etc etc" all the time.

however I'd also like to add: Fubar's a little bitch and I think you'd make a lot of people happy if you un-deleted the "I'd still hit it" thread. There were probably others but that seems to be the only one anybody misses.
other than that I agree the edited line doesn't matter but I edit like all my posts for the same reason shreeb does, removing my ignorant idiocy from the world wide web before it causes more damage than the good it produces in hideous, soul-sucking laughter by wretched vermin such as holly. <3

nardo there was a typo in your post.

Ah, that's why I felt bad all day and my life is pretty much ruined.
Anyway, since you regulars seem to really need your edit without comment, I'll give you that. But in return I ask you to stop talking to me about the deletion, it's not coming back, I don't want to talk about it anymore.
Also, if someone edits the first post in those year-long running threads, please use the edited by, it really is helpful to those that only stop by every now and then.

At the time he deleted it, it was perfectly fine for him to delete it. I'm definitely not going to disrespect a members privacy by bringing back stuff they wanted gone, whether I disagree with it or not. Tough luck. Another reason not to bring back delete, that way people can edit out their own posts but anyone else's (is that a word?) are still there.
