I like them, but I wouldn't consider the best band of the 90's. My Bloody Valentine and Radiohead eclipsed them with just a couple of albums.

They were great, but I wouldn't say that they were the best band of the 90s.

hey man!
Adore is beautiful
Machina is...okay, i think Machina would only appeal to a hardcore fan, it was the first pumpkin album i truly loved ...i love Machina...
Machina 2 is also amazing, its ashamed many people dont know about it :frown:

I find Adore dull and uninspired, and Machina has just never agreed with me. Machina 2 is a lot better than both of them.

i guess
i think both Adore and Machina were a bit more personal for Billy, and less like SD and MCIS which are musts for anyone, btw...oh well, everyone's got their favorite :king:

in 1995-1996 with melloncollie they were the greatest band... specially when tonight tonight video went on tv...

the great thing about this band is the fact that they never repeated themselves....... damn i have so much to talk about SP...but it will be later today....

its also my favorite band ever

i kinda consider SP the best band of the middle 90-s.... in the early 90-s it would be nirvana...and later 90-s Radiohead.... thats what i think, of course everyone has its own opinion...

ahhhh..... the smashing pumpkins, what can you say? they were lovely, weren't they? one of my all time favorites and personally i think they were better than nirvana for the 90's. i'd take siamese dream over nevermind without a second thought. at least they were around to make albums that weren't the best, given time nirvana would've been doing the same. *waits to get slapped*

The smashing pumpkins were the first band that i truely loved and followed everything they did...

Machina is my favourite album because it holds so many great personal memories for me and the tracks are really good too...
