I'm kinda thinking Trent's best work might be behind him. Sad

But while its open, i agree with avolite, with teeth was a disapointment compared to his other work.

And I think With Teeth isn't that bad, it only took a while to get used to that "aerobics dance class mix-tape" -sound, like AVOLITE said it.

I haven't heard all of his latest CD, but from the few tracks that I have heard, it's not that bad. I think it's pretty good.

Downward Spiral is my favourite just because it seems to carry a sense of urgency. It has a really cool pattern when you listen to it as a whole. The Becoming is so excellent, lyrically and also with the pools of foetal position acoustic guitar that make it really effective. And the looped samples of people screaming And of course Hurt.
The first disc of the Fragile is great but I think it starts to die a bit on the second disc, especially in terms of lyrics. What makes me Lol is that Marilyn Manson is failing miserably in achieving in 2005 what NIN achieved in 1991.
With Teeth is dodgy. It's not a bad album...but maybe bad by NIN standards...

Give your NIN CD's to your 9-years-old sister, and go buy "Too dark park", "Last rights", "VIVIsect VI", "Rabies", "Cleanse fold and manipulate", "The process", "Ain't it dead yet"...
Even Trent Reznor himself admits it : he stole everything from Skinny Puppy and early Ministry...
Sorry if I hurt your feelings, folk. But try some Skinny Puppy though, you might enjoy it + tell me I was right...

Not this "w/ teeth" nonsence.
To slow and not angry enough for me.

I've always been a NIN fan, but it's understandable that Trent is no longer as vital or innovative as he used to be. Most bands aren't, after 16 or 17 years (with some notable exceptions).

Fuck Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy is the real thing...

Skinny Puppy are great, but you can't even compare the two. NIN to me aren't even an industrial band. The only thing he ever really ripped off was Down In It, which is hardly stealing "everything"
And I think With Teeth was fucking killer....especially Right Where it Belongs and Getting Smaller
