They're incredibly talented, soon to release their debut full length and are featured in this month's issue of Rolling Stone Magazine.
This is a video I've put together from their recent show at Assembly, Cape Town.

If you like TMV then BLK JKS (Pronounced Black Jacks) are definitely worth a listen.

EDIT: their website allegedly offered free download of a few other songs, but the link doesn't work for me

You can find their EP Mystery - plus another song called Traffic Camp - on iTunes. Although I first downloaded the EP from Rapidshare

I think it was a limited-time free download offer of their EP. Their full length is due for release later this year.
So stoked! My favourite south african band by far! I like the older version of lakeside more than the new version, I must say.

They are awesome indeed. The South African Mars Volta. Well not exactly but they're similar at times. There is already an old thread floating around about them which I bumped like a month ago but no replies after that so it faded out. There's an great live video of them playing "Summertime" that I'll post when I get home from work. Also, the the new album After Robots just leaked...can't wait to check it out later!
"Summertime" was the best song at the Assembly show, and I didnt record it! As you can imagine, i was too busy dancing to it! ;) Let me know where i can get a hold of the full length please!!

I hate how people say that music is dead, there are so many bands that are just on the cusp of exploding. The problem remains with the public and their inability to sleep without a night light. I think people are couraging up though to take leap and embrace new sounds and time lengths.
Guys are dope
