Basically they're protesting against:
-Arizona inmigration law
-Corruption in the puertorrican government
-Illegal job axing
-Major labels
-He got censored by his government

Holy christ I haven't even listened to this yet and am about to, but my god this is literally a collaboration of my two favorite artists from two completely different realms of the music world. My god this is unreal. :)!

Those who still want put Calle 13 in a reggaeton box will have to stop after this hot rock-infused track.
Calle 13 is getting ready to release their fourth album in October, and this is the first leaked track featuring Mars Volta's Omar Rodríguez-López.

As we've come to expect, Residente's rhymes take jabs at other artists that are dominating charts by playing dirty. 'Not even the Beatles had four songs playing on the radio at the same time / you sell because you buy your own albums,' he raps while making sure his fan base knows fame and being backed by a big record label haven't changed his street cred. "My label is not Sony / My label is the people."

The catchy and energetic chorus assures fans that he is just like them: 'Calma pueblo que aqui estoy yo / lo que no dicen lo digo yo / lo que sientes tu lo siento yo / porque yo soy como tu.' Rodríguez-López adds the noisy guitar wizardry that carries through the tune which displays impeccable arrangements from Calle 13's other half, multi-instrumentalist Visitante.

Overall the track is refreshing --loving the scream at the end for some reason -- and a good preview of what's to come this fall.

Me! I have an old picture with Omar and the guy from Calle 13 (and Ximena too, I guess that's how Omar met him) :D but I don't have it on my hard disk anymore, does anyone have it?

That's my point, if you can't understand the lyrics I doubt you'll like anything besides the guitar.

Knowing Omar, if he has a chance he'll collaborate with them on a full solo album

Is it a joke because it's rap? Get over yourselves, hip-hop is a legit form of music. And on that note, this is a dope beat

A lot of hip hop sucks, just like a lot of rock sucks, but yeah, hip hop is real music. BTW, Eminem's new album is the shit!
