if he said all new ppl then I don’t think D is a safe bet.Omar, Cedric, D, Marcel are safe bets. Who is on bass or will someone pull bass duty?

He didn’t say ALL new people. He said new people. Juan being gone means there’s someone most likely taking a new spot. Maybe they have other new people filling different roles. Omar and D hookup for a largely jammy improve show right before Omar and Cedric are in the studio possibly hashing out demos? I’d say D is a safe bet on drums as of now.

also considering they were 180gms and pretty high quality pressings. Hard to compare by my MOV Deloused sounds better than RLP Noctourniquetfunny how he talks about "lofi bootleg universal shit" that we shouldnt buy, when at the same time an upconvert flac of tremulant was fed to us by him and omar

I believe they used the CD masters for the MOV vinyl pressings and that O+C had previously negotiated the rights to all vinyl pressings and the vinyl masters. That Universal went and licensed the CD masters to a company for vinyl pressing, I'd be pissed off too. The pressing itself was fine, I've got the gold Deloused, but it's not what it should be. And the Amp that was briefly on sale, who decided to print that in blue?

I believe MOV used Hi-Res masters. I own Amputechture reissue (black, not blue) and I'm pretty happy with how it sounds, although I'm slightly irritated that they added fadeouts to each side's end.

IN ANY CASE this is all very exciting but I'm not getting my hopes up about anything Cedric is saying. It is still early days by the sounds of it so who knows what will change or eventuate by the time they're ready to play shows or release new material. All I will ask for is that they put any conceptions about what fans want or what Volta should be are put aside

I think that'd be a non starter, there's more chance of Pete Doherty cleaning up and speaking in coherent sentences.
There's a photo on Juan's instagram, brown shirt, grey bass (grey hair too), pink pedal, where he looks just like Jordan Peterson. No, I'm not sure the relevance either.
That was the carnivore pedal

I think it'd be cool if they evolved the sound from Sworn Virgins
I'd be down with this.

In any event, long as they find a crew of musicians (either new to the band or old friends or whatever) that can lift the music to be its best, more power to them. Some of us may long for Jon Theodore or Juan alderete, but have to assume they’ll recruit the right crew for the job.
Whatever it is, I know I’ll inevitably give it a listen!
