I'm listening to this now and it's borderline unlistenable. How did they let this through?
Pretty sure it was a cash grab... to fund something that was probably never released :(

I was anxiously awaiting that De-Loused remaster that was supposedly re-edited too. Looking back, it could’ve been similar to the way Omar reworked some of his albums for the Ipecac series. Bummer we never got it.

Depending on which Ipecac album you mean it could have been an absolute disaster. It's still a mystery to me how that Aranas mix happened.

Well I meant moreso El Bien, Zapopan, and Nom. Stuff he released previously and reworked into something fresh and interesting.
Those albums were great reworked.

if the "mars volta reunites" pr campaign is run competently/effectively they could absolutely rake in cash
deloused remaster, vinyl reissues, socks, totes, cassettes, skate decks, old live recordings (let's be real though, only The Marble Shrine is capable of handling that)

Been listening to Frances the Mute for nearly 15 years...always thought those pops etc in Cassandra Gemini were SUPPOSED to be there! Part of the general insanity of the track, ha!
