Hmm, I love me some electronic tunes.

Aphex Twin
Daft Punk
Kraftwerk
New Order(for the most part)
Bjork(mostly Homogenic era)
Squarepusher
Autechre
µ-Ziq
Wagon Christ
Boymerang
The Black Dog
Orbital
The Orb
Brian Eno(yeah, I think he fits in this list)

I could go on. Oh yeah, I believe that Radiohead's Kid A could very well be in that list as well.

Richard D. James may be creepy as hell, but he's fucking brilliant.

ooh yeah.....
I just hope Aphex Twin will release all the good stuff he says he's got in his laptop..
Druqs: a few good songs but shouldn't have been double
I haven't heard 26 mixes for cash but I've heard it's bad.
What do you think of it?

I'd like to add
french band Air and Boards of Canada to that list

I haven't heard 26 mixes for cash either, but I loved drukqs. It seemed more like a collection of segues with a song every now and then. It's still not as good as the Richard D. James album or 85-92 Selected Ambient Works.

26 Mixes For Cash is fantastic, one of the best things he's done.

I would have to say of everything I've heard by the Sneaker Pimps, one album stands out, Splinter. When they booted Kelly and Chris Corner took over on vocals, it may have become less electronica, but I like it a lot.

Just give me a low five...

OH! I FORGOT THE BEST:

andrea parker"kiss my arp"
andrea parker"the dark ages"

Chadwickpc, you would love her record "kiss my arp".
it is very very dark ambient, very complex structures, she has an amazing voice and is genious creative musician(she is more than a dj)
all I can say is when I first heard the beginning of that record it was around august 1999 and I couldn´t wait to hear NIN new album, and when I heard that music I though they had it playing it.
(I was very busy around that time and couldn´t check internet or listen to the radio so I had no info of when "the fragile" would come out.
so that is a hint of her talent, don´t you think?
I am 100% any fan of deep electronic music will love it.

To be honest Kraftwerk, New Order and Air are the only electronica bands I listen to. But Kraftwerk are one of my favourite bands ever.

i SO forgot about the avalanches! theyre most excellent.

yeah and just my luck Splinter is the one album that I can never find. I do think Chris' voice made it less 'typical' electronic.

Switching to a male singer was an unexpected yet a good move cause i really like the way it turned out. :D

How about Atari Teenage Riot - are they electronic or what? They call themselves 'digital hardcore'.

i'd have to disagree...after listening to almost all of richard d. jame's releases, i think its probably his worst.

the cd is exactly what the title says, 26 mixes he haphazardly threw together for cash. i think its fucking hilarious, in typeical rdj humor, to actually call it 26 mixes for cash because he knows that people (myself included) will eat it up no matter what he puts out.
