Witches Brew indeed.

I notice some crazy "frippernomics" sounding guitars in Jacob II.

Outstanding album.

Has anyone else noticed how awesome Marcel's drumming is on that song. Wow. Someone's been practicing.

i'm not that blown away by this record. that doesn't mean much though, seeing as it took me two years to fall in love with amd and i've only had this for eighteen hours. i can see myself listening to this more in a "hey, haven't checked this out in a while" way [yellow album] rather than actively wanting to hear it [amd, se dice] i DO really like "apocalypse" though - it has the BWAAAAHHHHH foghorns that i liked from the deimos drunkship jam someone posted hoping it was in tbig a few days ago.

i really want to hear a recorded version of the vegoose math rock beat.. i'd love for it to turn up on calibration or zach hill collab

Also, if anyone has one of the bootlegs of a 2005 Omar Quintet show (Mainly whichever one was in Vienna, as I have it), you know how they play Vondelpark Bij Nacht? THAT'S ACTUALLY THE TITLE TRACK FROM THIS ALBUM OMG

and Jacob II is basically a beefed up version of the one they played live, so i duno why everyone is so suprised by the viscera eyes bass line

i managed to make it to amoeba in time to pick up the last copy they had of this last night.

i definitely wouldn't say that i'm blown away. i mean i love it, don't get me wrong...but as for it being better then se dice, eh...i think not. personal opinion.

coma pony is fucking wonderful though, i will say that.

and the record itself...clear vinyl. absolutely marvelous. beautiful cover art. i'm a very happy camper.

haha i didn't see that comment earlier. that's what i get for not reading threads through anymore

anyways, welcome to the comatorium...the only place you can make a statement like that and not get a bottle thrown at your head.

bitches brew is one of the greatest pieces of musical material around...while i do very much enjoy this record, it's not even remotely close to the league that bitches brew is in.

but then again, everything is opinion and you have every right to exercise it.
