Yup. Between this and Swans, I'm looking forward to June.

Don't forget the Lennon Claypool Delirium. Despite the name, it's shaping up to be a great album as well.

Speaking of it the last Primus "album" was a huge disappointment for me :(

New track from the upcoming album. The artwork is gorgeous. Makes me a bit sad I can't really get into them.

Hm, it's cool but it doesn't really do much for me- and I liked Coffins on Io, which was in the same direction.

Swoon, have you listened to Coyote?

Thanks for posting that Swoon. Just listened on my phone-I'm sure the shitty speaker dosen't justice to the song. Alot of layers going on there. I'm excited to hear more.

I kept coming back to Coffins On Io, since it got a lot of praise on the interwebs and on this very thread. I can't exactly put my finger on why it does't grab me though.

That new single had a KC feel to it. If they went in that direction, this is what i'd picture them doing. I'll try Coyote.

New Kayo Dot track, sounded altright.

I also managed to listen to Coyote a lot and snatch a (tiny bit expensive) vinyl since then !

I bought a physical copy. It feels like leftovers from Coffins on Io. That is NOT a bad thing at all. It has a mid 80s Rush vibe at times. Depeche Mode influence too. Good stuff.

Leftovers?

I can't agree.

Way more texture this time, and the rhythm work is so complex on this album,no comparison to Coffins IMO

Just cuz this album has a similiar 80s vibe being synth heavy you cannot call it leftovers o.o

I get the Coffins sequel vibe too, but the whole sound is re-arranged. Drums are mixed low, synth all over the place. I like to think this is what King Crimson would have sounded like in the late 80s.

I’m beyond stoked to announce that, after 14 years, Kayo Dot’s debut album, Choirs of the Eye, is finally being made available on vinyl for the first time! Thanks to consistent pressure and demand from fans, Choirs’ original label, Tzadik, has been kind enough to grant us permission to *self-release* a special edition of this masterpiece. The only way we can make this happen, therefore, is through pre-orders. Here are the details!

Yep. Recorded by the COI Kayo Dot lineup.
