i love swans!

i lost a lot of my music a few years ago, and only just recently started downloading files to replace/improve my collection. the only swans album i could find was 'public castration is a good idea'.

does anybody know where i could find more? mp3, mp4, wav, anything.

that would be fucking awesome...

So haven't listened to these guys, but apperently their new album "The Seer" is being hyped. What say you?

I'm interested in what they're like live (at the moment), have a chance to see them later this year but don't really know if that's a good idea.

They sound apocalyptic. When the Burning world went out it was a bit of disappointment because it was too "soft" comparing it to their previous Children of God, but later with years I realized that it's a great album.

One of the pioneers of industrial music.

The deluxe edition of The Seer has a live DVD, which is 100 minutes of old and new material from their last tour (basically, the same songs on We Rose From Your Bed With The Sun In Our Head). If you can get your hands on it, it's probably a good indication of the state of their current live shows (which are supposed to be amazing)...admittedly, I have yet to watch the dvd or see them live.

I'm 99% sure I'm going after seeing this video. Reminds me of Neubauten only they use regular instruments to create those sounds.

The Seer has just blew my mind. Absolutely the most epic thing I've heard since Frances The Mute. (Interesting how both albums are the first I've heard from the respective bands).
