Tokyo Japan is the greatest song I've ever heard in my life. It completely changed me. I can never listen to music the same way ever again.

Really missed Adrian's presence. This is great. Hope it's a sign that we can hear more of him.

I feel you there. I think it may be Omar's best song, even counting all the one's composed with Startled Calf.

I have a strong hunch that most of these songs are improvisations... been listening to a lot of Henry Cow and Zorn-related shit lately and so far I'm getting that kind of vibe from it.

I don't know anything about jazz, so I'm not gonna judge this one. It's not my cup of tea though, like Equinox better.

not to be a super fucking picky asshole, but the title isn't "...birth to A tomato" it's just "to tomato"

just throwing that out there.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. This album was probably recorded while Adrian was still in the band. That was about 4 years ago..

He lived there as a child before his family moved to El Paso. He was bullied quite badly, apparently.

I waited thru the entire album to hear this track. Was not disappointed. Thank you, Gentlemen.

Fuck yes. Tokyo Japan wipes the floor with all the ATDI and TMV albums combined.

OH GOD YES

ADRIAN

MY LOINS

As a jazz fusion fan, and a wind player, this may be one my favourite Omar albums already. That said, what's the man himself doing, do you reckon, just the effects and electronic beats?

EDIT: Wait, there's some guitar in Zapopan.

This is going to be such a great week for bong hits.
Two albums that drop my jaw to the floor.

Couldn't be happier
