I'm not a Shrouded mod. It looks like I'm screwed, then, doesn't it?

STE
the problem with posting my suggestion about a comatorium manifesto in the suggestions section
is that it's totally contradictory
the site suggestion section is for the mods
the comatorium manifesto is for the PEOPLE to decide

don't close threads when you respond with stuff like that
keep it open for people to respond to
just a little "site suggestion" for you

Site suggestions is for everybody. People who have little problems with the website ask for help in there, etc. It's not really just for us to see. Your manifesto would be a collective site suggestion, would it not?

I'm moving this there, anyway.

I say bad. It would be waaay too dramatic here with elections.

Also, what I said earlier about Macho getting elected...Well, he wouldn't get elected because people want him to be moderator. He would get elected because it would be seen as a really funny joke (which is true, actually.) But it would be counterproductive, and if we're going to have elections, we can't ban people from running and we can't disregard people's reasons for voting. I say it should be either all or nothing.

simple solution
since theory does have to approve anything all of us do, we'd have him appoint someone to judge whether or not a potential candidate would be a legitimate mod
the whole process can't exactly be democratic

im thinking everyone who wants to run for mod for a certain forum posts in some topic, and the current mods of that section can decide who is serious and whos not

and those current, initial mods would stay on forever unless like
a majority wants them out
i'd say if at least 60 percent strongly disagree with how the mod is running things
elections would be every 3 months or so, but mods can be voted out any time
if a section reaches below some sort of threshold for their minimum amount of moderators, there will be a small election in that forum for another mod to replace who was kicked out

i think it would make the coma a little more exciting, and also make the people happier with the modding job
not to mention after the first election there will be a small boost in the amount of mods around, which can't be too bad of a thing

also, i'd like to have the main posters and the mods in each of their respective forums to contribute to the manifesto, to get their input for how the forum as a whole should be handled and how their respective sections should be handled

dood- the coma has been messed up lately. who cares if some topics are closed dood- they are meant for a quick, good laugh not to be up for ever. and its the internet, come on. are you really truely upset about stuff like a topic being closed. seriously- wakeup. its not a big deal. stop fighting the power on a forum and move it to somewhere useful.

Sometimes I want to just close threads with the Search Function thing randomly when they don't deserve it.

But I never do.

That's as much as I can spice things up.

DO IT!

edit: Also, I agree with swordmaster's ideas, not only would it get the members more active in the forum itself, but, as he said, it certainly would spice things up a bit.
