A couple of weeks agoi  was on heavy on weed and had the worst trip of my life while listening to this record (one of my favorites of all time)

A very very bad trip.

i found a connection between De-loused and these songs. I entered Julio Venegas' mind

I kept thinking "yo morire y nadien me recordera"

I understood most of the messages that are hidden in Cedric's lyrics.

i was all alone at home. no one to call to.

i was going nuts

the trip wouldn't end

had to go to the hospital

on prescription drugs since then.

shit, i can't smoke my weed and listen to my music anymore (for now)

I smoked a weed once. Killed 20 innocent people and jumped off a building. Remember, prescription=always good for you 100% of the time. Take 20 oxy for your health!

Is this the album that's supposed to have Zach Hill on it?

I had forgotten about that, maybe it is.

I wonder when we'll see studio recordings of the songs he did with Flea and Frusciante.

I was listening to this track yesterday and the main bass line reminded me of Boiling Death, as if Omar developed some sort negative.

It wouldn't suprise me coming from Omar, since Gillespie seemed to like Afro, Latin and Salsa elements.

Couldnt hear the bass through my phone but that was a neat song, interesting thing to bring up. Gillespie's playing kind of reminded me of Omar a little bit before that mark you set it to.

Revisiting this album after several years. It's great. I feel like 3000 solo records later, and he has yet to top this or Manuel Dexterity.

This has always been in my top 5 favorite Omar albums. Honestly, its pretty much a Volta album with mostly instrumentals

Oh stfu.it's a classic, and a mind blowing experience. It was then it is now. Fillers gonna fill, but main tracks are hard to beat

The thing that taints this album the most is that Please Heat This Eventually is split in half on the vinyl pressing. It's quite frankly unforgivable

Never sounded like a demo to me. Always seemed like a complete one to me, and a very good album. Listened to it many many times.

Complete? Interludes were extended or turned into songs on later albums. Two of the vocal tracks barely have lyrics, just Cedric using his voice as an instrument.

I wouldn't call it a demo album but it's not complete either.

Still fantastic.

yea its a good album, most songs are fantastic. but it baffles me when ppl complain that newer albums sound incomplete or w/e and then come back like "wow se dice so good," when songs like Se Dice, Lurking About and La Tirania are literally demos

Real talk. Nostalgia clouds the mind. All the older shit from that era sounds like incomplete shit or jams for the sake of jams. Not talking about quality at all. But it is what it is.

Wasn't Se Dice made at the same time as Amp?
