for some reason that rant points out to them playing deloused and frances... no one forces them not to play Interalia in full + napoleon solo and one armed scissor on ATDI shows, but i doubt anyone would wanna see that. also it's the guy from the same band who barely played anything from their new ep... SAD!

For someone who wants to play in ATDI and TMV he sure doesn't seem like he wants to play in TMV and ATDI.
At least for TMV he has a fanbase that followed them on a lot of nonsense. He needs to give them more credit. The Deloused & Frances camp is not the entire fandom.

wasn't the whole point of TMV to do something different? and that's why every album was so different from the last? when did it turn into doing... the same thing over and over again? how? why? who did this? did someone think it was good? did nobody try to stop it? who tried to stop it? were they ostracized from the group? just how many splinter cell omar-camps were there? did they argue among each other what the best mars volta lineup would be? did they agree? who decided whose lineup idea was best? why didn't they do it? did they do it? what happened when they tried to do it? why didn't it work? did it work? who did this and why did they do it and what happened to the MARS VOLTA?

im sure there were other reasons. i love xenophanes but its really not a leap forward like octahedron is, as much of a misstep as it is. plus that album without the dual vocals just wouldn't be as good

would Ikey have played all that crazy piano stuff? or who actually recorded piano on xeno?

Mark Aanderud, who also played piano on Octahedron. Ikey was pretty much a touring member by that point.
