If anyone knows where to find a 24 bit lossless version of Aenima, I would appreciate it.

What do you mean correct track order lateralus?
- On the vinyl version of the album, Disposition follows Parabola.

I wouldn't say excited, but they're a meaningful, important band for me and whatever they put out, I will listen to and respect. I'm not hassling them to release anything though.

After this long it wouldn't be wise to have unreal expectations, just enjoy it for what it is when it comes out

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I'll grow to love it. It'll be it's own thing, a purposeful statement, a body of work. I wasn't too excited about 10,000 Days or the subsequent tour at the time, but that album has profoundly grown on me. May just be the most fun start to finish record to listen to. I couldn't care less if they release new music or not though, they've acheived great things already and like, all have families and businesses and lives outside of the band. They've earned the right to make music whenever and however they want to, on their own terms. I'll no doubt be giddy with excitement as soon as UK gigs are announced and immediately depressed at how much the tickets are. A Perfect Circle were charging Madonna prices for their UK dates, and like, Orestes, but fuck that.

Trial by social media is terrifying, frankly.
I used to be fairly deep in the online Tool community, traders, bootleggers, I knew some of their regular touring crew. I know for a fact that Maynard had a fairly routine, organised approach to having sex with women after concerts (something about his roadie Hawk handing out "special" passes for women MJK will fancy, giant life-size cut-outs of Maynard, clowns giving blowjobs etc) but that's all quite well known, if a little distasteful, transactional and strange – all ammunition for the "guilt by association" brigade. I'm trying to imagine the press spinning those stories if they come out in full, and it isn't good. This account, however, feels very familiar, the kind of process I have heard before:
