If anyone knows where to find a 24 bit lossless version of Aenima, I would appreciate it.

What do you mean correct track order lateralus?

from wiki:

Note

  • On the vinyl version of the album, Disposition follows Parabola.

Ahh I see. Interesting change. Does this get in the way of the theory though that disposition reflection and triad are supposed to be one song divided into three sections? I'm still very much into the holy gift track list with the crossfades.

They're going for a 13 year followup next year with the fifth album, then the sixth one will be a 10,000 day wait just because... Tool.

Who’s genuinely excited? At this point, for me personally, I’m curious at best. On their initial Facebook post that was quoted above I saw quite a few top comments that seemed pretty apathetic to the announcement.

I wouldn't say excited, but they're a meaningful, important band for me and whatever they put out, I will listen to and respect. I'm not hassling them to release anything though.

I'll listen to it but I'm not excited. It's been too long since their last album for me to really care and my musical taste has changed drastically over the past 12 years.

Ready to listen with low expectations and accept it for whatever it is so that I can hopefully be pleasantly surprised.

After this long it wouldn't be wise to have unreal expectations, just enjoy it for what it is when it comes out

I feel pretty much same as all of you. I had a time in which I really loved Tool, but that was then. I feel like it’ll just be the same stuff

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I'll grow to love it. It'll be it's own thing, a purposeful statement, a body of work. I wasn't too excited about 10,000 Days or the subsequent tour at the time, but that album has profoundly grown on me. May just be the most fun start to finish record to listen to. I couldn't care less if they release new music or not though, they've acheived great things already and like, all have families and businesses and lives outside of the band. They've earned the right to make music whenever and however they want to, on their own terms. I'll no doubt be giddy with excitement as soon as UK gigs are announced and immediately depressed at how much the tickets are. A Perfect Circle were charging Madonna prices for their UK dates, and like, Orestes, but fuck that.

Looking forward to it, not gonna have low expectations though they've still been together and constitently touring since the last album.

All these women are coming out with stuff that’s decades old... it’s kind of stupid. Say something when it happens, it’s not like this girl was threatened to keep her mouth shut. For other women, the circumstances are probably different and they were in a situation where their lives or careers were at risk if they said anything. Other women are trying career assasination.

A girl recently confessed to false rape allegations. There should be a grain of salt with these things when they first come out and they should go through the proper legal channels before society jumps ahead to be judge jury and executioner. There’s obviously some heinous offenders like Weinstein or Cosby with 70 or more women coming forward so that’s more or less a closed case but when there’s just one it can be less clear what the truth is.

Trial by social media is terrifying, frankly.

I used to be fairly deep in the online Tool community, traders, bootleggers, I knew some of their regular touring crew. I know for a fact that Maynard had a fairly routine, organised approach to having sex with women after concerts (something about his roadie Hawk handing out "special" passes for women MJK will fancy, giant life-size cut-outs of Maynard, clowns giving blowjobs etc) but that's all quite well known, if a little distasteful, transactional and strange – all ammunition for the "guilt by association" brigade. I'm trying to imagine the press spinning those stories if they come out in full, and it isn't good. This account, however, feels very familiar, the kind of process I have heard before:
