Peeping Tom wore out pretty quickly for me, I dont think its bad at all, but with Doseone and the like in tow, it shouldve been absolutely amazing, and it wasnt all that. I'm one of the people who likes his 'noise' stuff too.

Desert search for Techno Allah is great, maybe the best thing they made, Disco Volante is so goddamn good.

yeah i can appreciate that. i've probably mentioned this a zillion times before but i probably am biased because when i went to the peeping tom gig it was the most fun i'd had in such a long time. it went on for about an hour and 20 minutes and normally that's long enough for me to get a bit bored during a gig but the whole time i was hoping it wouldn't end, it was THAT much fun. so listening to the album brings back that memory for me...all together now...aww!

well i tell you what once we've made our film (oh by the way, it star jack nicholson as satan and christopher walken as God) you can come to the premiere. it's gonna be HUGE

I thought it was widely accepted that California was the best thing he has ever done.

disco volante > all the other stuff Patton has/will probably ever do

hell, carry stress in the jaw is basically better than all the fantomas stuff combined.

^^ California isnt even the best thing that Mr Bungle has ever done!

just humour me :p it's nice to dream! and one day when i'm rich i'll be able to do it

i can already see some artistic conflict arising though. but i absolutely insist on desert search being in the soundtrack. it's perfect.

i want to hear squeeze me macaroni live, that would be something.

so anyone know when the new tomahawk album is going to be released?

OH and is firecracker as shit as it's said to be?

Haha, alright.

No, I dont, does anyone know when the new Tomahawk stuff is out? I never know of new Patton stuff until after it gets released, and I'd never like to guess what's gonna resurface or not.

why yes, yes it is. i had it on repeat today while i was hoovering. it went a little like this:

'waah wah waaaaaaaaaaaah vroom vroom wah wah wah wah wah wah waaaah vrooom'

am i the only person who listens to music while hoovering?

oh and there is a point to this post by the way, it's about the tomahawk album:

'Mike Patton said in a November interview that the new album has finished being recording, and now needs to be mastered, etc. so an early 2007 release date is likely.'

off wikipedia, but i believe it anyway. i'm pretty sure i read the interview somewhere.

i haven't heard them all... i voted tomahawk though. The one and only vote. I feel pretty special right now, let me tell you

i find myself disliking patton though.. i think it's the patton fanboys who think he's like the all time ultimate god of vocals. His voice annoys me a lot of the time. But some of his shit is really great

it's a love/hate thing

i used to like patton A LOT. i don't care for him much anymore, if at all. i barely kept my interest to listen to peeping tom, it wasn't anything special.

but i still voted and i voted for mr. bungle. i think it is the only one i can still imagine myself listening to. occasionally i pick up some of my fnm cds but nahhh, i've grown out of it.

i think i go through phases. i stopped listening to any of his stuff for about a year, and i'm just getting back into it again, but no doubt i'll get sick of it again and forget about it for a while

Anyone who doesn't say Kaada/Patton hasn't heard it.

Just about THE creepiest music Patton's ever made... don't fucking talk to me about Delirium Cordia. His collaboration with Kaada is WAAAAAY more musically advanced and far stranger.

What the fuck does california have to do with Disco Volante?

Umm? They're both by Mr Bungle? Pixiesfan said that he thought California was widely accepted as Pattons best, and I was pointing out that myself and others here, you included I think (?), thought that it wasnt even the best Mr Bungle album, regardless of Pattons other projects.

Whats the problem with that?

If you're considering Patton projects than the ones where he had the most control of the music was

Fantomas
Peeping Tom

So the vote would go to Fantomas. Mr. Bungle is more of a group effort where Trey and Trevor Dunna are the main song writers with Patton adding some insight. Some Fantomas stuff is better than Mr. Bungle. However, the collaboration with those geniuses made Bungle such a great group of musicians. Tomahawk is mostly Duane Dennison from the Jesus Lizard. I'm looking forward to his collaboration with Eyvind Kang, coming out in the Spring. Italian Pop tunes is the perfect project for patton.

The best project Mike has been a part of is Mr. Bungle

Oh yeah, he was talking about that Italian pop tunes album in the Mike Patton Hates Wolfmother thing. Definitely sounds interesting, have you got any more info, or a link to some?
