I like bi/MENTAL and Don't bleed. They sound like they have a lot of potential. My favourite songs are dressed in a matter of speech, sandman, strong enough, love someone and don't bleed

Interesting interview with Lia Braswell on The Trap Set: http://www.thetrapse...imone-braswell/
She talks about her time in Le Butcherettes around 17:20. Sounds a bit hesitant to tell what exactly caused the split. Whoops.

Was going through old LB videos and found this. It is a completely different take of Blackhead which is pretty interesting. One of my favorite LB songs

"cult"'s a strong word. "commune" and "compound" seem appropriate, and i think it's fair to expect that omar and teri's ways seem esoteric to others. omar works 14 hours a day, and teri's his partner. i expect they're both intense about what they do and the way they do it - to paraphase cedric, julio venegas showed them what it meant to be an artist every day, and that seems like a fitting way to describe huge aspects of omar's life, or what we know of it. if you're an artist every day working with others, why not try living together if that's what it means to be on the same wavelength, everyone an artist every day, trying to make the most and best of their time together? good for them if they wanna try that and find others who are down to do the same.
whatever they do, it's not for everyone - is anything? but a "cult", with its horrible contemporary connotations, i doubt it is.

Gorgeously said. The interviewer was clearly pandering to some unknown reddit crowd and it's sad to see that drummer go along with it not once but twice. Not that any of this actually matters.
Reminds me of something I read about Kubrick; how he would move on from collaborators on each of his films and that person would feel an intense sadness/madness after feeling completely ghosted. That's just how some geniuses work tbh

Well, nobody really called them a cult. It was more of a joke on Joe's side.

thanks!
yeah, i think that the interviewer was joking. lia didn't really say "no, it's definitely not a cult". but i don't blame her for not knowing how to put it. still, i think that 'cult' is probably not a great word to use to describe what went on.
anyway, cool listen. thanks for the link, broccoli bro.
