"Spell Broken Hearts" on this album sounds like it could be the new version of Spellbound.

I had the same thought, I hope this has the definitive versions of those 2010 jams, I've been waiting for that since this WIP videos showed up

My theory:

Unicorn, Saber etc are all demo/rough ideas, and there's a version of Nocto lying around just like those albums. Without vocals, and the more electronic tunes...but it's probably there in the vault. Probably mixed with some other music that we haven't heard. All made at the same time. Cedric chose the songs that ended up on Noctourniquet and in 2011 they added some more songs and wrapped the recording. Shortly after Omar probably chose some of the best remaining tunes from the Unicorn, Saber, Extrano records to polish them up the same way as he did Noctourniquet. Possibly as a follow-up to Volta's Nocto or simply to give those songs their due. Spellbound, Happiness, Sea Is Rising etc.

I'm also thinking Xenophanes was made at the same time as Octahedron and was tossed away for the Bedlam comparisons, in favor of Cell Phone Bikini which was then tossed away for the Octahedron comparisons. Or it just wasn't electronic enough for Omar at the time. Then he went on to make a couple dozen tracks with Deantoni like he said in an interview. Which is where these 2012 releases + Nocto tracks like Whip/Absentia/Imago/Zed/Lapochka come into play.

if this album has clear versions of "names" and "storm shadow", this will be the best Omar album for me. can't wait to hear the samples/album

Here's how it goes down:

Omar gets an idea for a song

He does the song

At some point, it gets released

Maybe he does it again?

Fuck, seems that songs like "la histeria" from 2009 wont see the light due to that ridiculous royalty issue with TP. Instead of that seems that we are condemned to infinite mediocre remakes of the already mediocre sea is Rising.

Got to say, i digged a lot CPB. Very cool first half

Why? Omar could rerecord TP's drums. He also released TP tracks in 2013

Ridiculous royalty issue? Yeah, getting paid what you're entitled to having delivered the commissioned work sure is ridiculous.
The only daft thing here is years long beef. This should have been resolved years ago. Even Juan and Pridge talk on Twitter.

He's on Equinox though and he didn't seem to give a shit about the TMV leaks. I think that shit is exaggerated.

Sea is Rising mediocre? GTFO.

Sea Is Rising is mediocre without the synths or when it's mixed terribly with bad vocals. But the version they were playing live in 2010 was a masterpiece.

We don't know for sure if TP recorded drums for La Hysteria (and whether it was recorded in the studio at all). Victimas del Cielo was debuted on that tour as well, and it was Marcel who played drums on the studio version.

Three have been officially released.  Unicorn, Corazones, and Zapopan.  Plus the demo without synths.

I'm surprised. Based on past releases, I would've expected at least a dozen posts in here by now wondering where samples are.
