I've always wondered when exactly Omar's creative explosion with Deantoni started. It seems like Thomas was still in the band. Solar Gambling came out like a month after Xeno and has D playing songs that were also played with Thomas. Asking him about the relationship between this and Xeno is in the top ten of shit I'd ask Omar if I ever met him again.

And speaking of Deantoni and Solar, who else thinks his drum tracks could be from a more recent session (2009. And the rest from 2008).

I'd really like this one on vinyl.

Hey, I'm also the one person who wants Woman Gave Birth on vinyl.
What can I say I'm a pervert.

So while listening to whatever the new version of Los Puntos Erogenos is called, I noticed a brief metronome during one of the silences. Later on, I heard some faint vocal harmonies that basically sounded like the same ones from the original version. It got me thinking...maybe Xenophanes was tracked to metronome so Omar basically re-overdubbed the new tracks over the old ones. This would mean, then, that the album isn't really Xenophanes rerecorded so much as reworked. Anyway, nothing groundbreaking, but an interesting insight into Omar's process, if true. I think someone has already synced up the two albums, which gives credence to the theory.

Fairly certain Ensayo was tracked before Xenophanes as these tracks sound more like demos. Assuming that Omar had Deantoni record drums after the fact, after Pridgen had been let go from TMV and ORLG.

This is my favourite of that batch of albums. I sort of prefer it to Xeno.

Fairly certain these are not the demos. Recorded around 2012 probably
Finally got around to giving this album another spin tonight. Think you're right Andrew, pretty unlikely that these are demos. I like to imagine an afternoon in the ORL mansion, Omar sippin' on some tea in the control room giving Deantoni direction on the subtleties of how he wants this album tracked post-Pridgen.
