Lars Ulrich is such a fucking dick.

Not to mention one of the worst professional musicians in existence.

Seriously. I've had students playing better than him in a years time. That being said, he works for Metallica so whatever.

His drumming is so average. Below average. Every single drummer my old band has was better than him. Goddamn it I hate him so much. The way he stands up and shouts while he's playing a gig. His penis must be tiny.

This album is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY better than Deftones' new album.

Bones of Birds, Halfway There and Eyelid's Mouth (and the last track too) are all really really good

Yeah I can't wait until I get a chance to start it from track 1 and just blast it. Hadn't had a chance yet, maybe this Sunday? :whistling:

Oh shit, new Soundgarden? For real brah? Why I've been ignoring this thread the past few days is beyond me, but I plan to check this out ASAP.

This is the biggest (positive) surprise of 2012, didn't expect this to be any good but now I'm at least on my 10th listen. Works well as an album, I somehow prefer the second half.

Second listen last night, drunk as hell, we were all arguing about what music to play (sort of as a joke) for like half an hour, then finally somebody put this on and we alllll went quiet. Mmmm.

favorite track so far is Black Saturday. love the way it starts and the chorus is fucking catchy.... not to mention the dog barks are pretty eerie and well placed.

Wow! Listened to this beginning to end twice. Fucking so solid. Some tracks are superunknownish and some of those badass grooves are even Badmotorfinger-like. All in all King animal mixes those melodies perfectly with the rhythm section. And even though Cornell sounds tired and old, it's still his great, distinctive voice. But this album is all about Kim Thayill in my opinion. One of the most underrated guitarists around and he doesn't disappoint here. Matt Cameron gels everything together with his drumming which is simply great. I'd give it 4 stars, what a return to form for Soundgarden.

Black Saturday is the best song on this album, hands down.

:notworthy:

Notice the hands down.

3rd listen and I must say this is good. You can tell it's gonna be a good one if you feel you can find or feel new things listening to it again

edit: Provided you like the new things you find ofc

Another thing that implies the album is good: I'll find a new song I favor each time I listen to it.

Non-State Actor - Rowing - Bones of Birds - Black Saturday - Eyelid's Mouth

Roughly in that order.

The demo for "Black Saturday" is the song from the album minus drums, where Chris Cornell's guitar is completely acoustic. Still has Kim Thayil on lead guitar, and Ben Shepherd on bass.

This video is hilarious and good at the same time:

hahha!! Fuck your laptop son. God they are still so badass. Out of all the old-time bands reuniting out there I believe Soundgarden made the biggest statement with this Killer album. The new Alice in chains is just so fucking boring to me, Same with Janes addiction, its just dull. Still have yet to hear my bloody valentine though, I've heard good things.
