two new singles out. one sounds more like FMB, one more like SOBE. neither are super impressive imo
My thoughts exactly. I'm still looking forward to the full thing but I'm not holding my breath. Polygondwanaland was alright, maybe a bit too safe by their 2017 standards. The first 3 are still in my rotation though, which says a lot !

that's interesting, because at this point Polgyondwanaland is my favorite of their releases this year. Perfect revival of 60s/70s prog for the modern age.

pretty forgettable imo but there are some gems in there. the wheel, last oasis, great chain, super, and greenhouse are great but the rest is really eh. album art is no buen for me either. they should've pressed polygon and had this be the "free to the fans thing". at any rate, props to them for meeting their goal in the zero hour, i look forward to seeing what they do next year. im definitely going to try to catch them live

I came over to coma today to see if anyone was interested in this band, then it turns out you guys are already talking about it! The new album is great so far, I'm only 3 songs in. These guys have already become one of my favorite bands over the past few weeks, they are really something else

New album's pretty easy-listening. There's a danger with these new "psychedelic" bands that they're not very psychedelic at all and actually quite bland.
I guess that tendency has always been there.

A lot of psychedelic music is pretty easy listening, and a lot of it can be crazy and chaotic. I feel like it's usually the more progressive bands that have that cool chaos going on, they just mix psychedelia in to make it crazier. King Gizzard has a mix of that going on, it just depends on what album you check out. This one was pretty easy to listen to, but it was definitely trippy

They have a pretty wide variety of stuff so it's hard to say, I haven't even listened to everything yet. https://kinggizzard....olygondwanaland this album is totally free, so it's a good place to start https://kinggizzard.bandcamp.com/album/flying-microtonal-banana this is the album that has my favorite song so far, it's number 2, Melting. It's not their craziest song, but it's definitely chill and trippy. It also has the song Rattlesnake, which has a pretty bad ass music video, but it's a really repetitive song. Still really good though!
