this album is just experimenting with new stuff nothing else... it would be souch a great album if he would just let ximena sing and mind his own business... cover is awfull, worst so far...

Yeah, damn him and his 'experimenting'. He should know as an artist that people just want the same old stuff over and over and over. =\

Okay, the cover's hideous, but I don't know why you seem so resistant. It says in the same update that we're getting the Ximena stuff as well on two separate releases.

EDIT: Can't wait for Xenophanes though. Great concept.

Pretty cool concept for the album

Could the BBC session not be a 'full-on' CD and vinyl release and just a donwload only thing?

Maybe, but Cathy said they're working on a limited print of it on vinyl. Hopefully we get more than the 3 tracks aired, they must have played more.

That sounds right to me. Remember, the Greeks and Romans pronounced every syllable. So while it might be pronounced "Zenophaynes" in English, it should correctly be split up by syllable, "Ze-noff-a-knees."

i think the beginn of the word has to sound more like "ksen-o fan-es" with the last e spoke like the e in "men", just a bit longer maybe. although not speaking greek, i see no reason to say it like the english word "knee".

but enough of it now. maybe some greek volat fan will come in and laugh about us all. :whistling:

Yes. But I think the first e should be longer, instead of the last one.

Yes. But I think the first e should be longer, instead of the last one.

The last e is definitely an ee sound --- think of Socrates (not how Bill and Ted say it!), Hyppocrates, Thales, etc. I'm pretty sure that the X is pronounced like a Z, and the primary stress is on the "oph".

EDIT: in other words, I think that wav file someone found has it correct.
