Crono Cross do have one of the best sondtrack.

 

The Donkey Kong ost from snes are well composed. I have always loved this one :

 

Just finished Ni no Kuni 2 and the soundtrack is composed by Joe Hisaishi (Ghibli's and Kitano's movies), which is great.

I just tend to listen to Silent Hill soundtracks. There's been some tracks that remind me of 90s Swans in vibe but, naturally, I can't think of which ones off the top of my head. So I'll just post one of the songs that doesn't, but is nonetheless powerful.

 

 

Silent Hill 4 was underrated and I wish they'd remake it with better voice acting.

I somewhat recently found out there are a bunch of "secret" clubs that make bootleg video game vinyl soundtracks, usually about a couple hundred a run and thats it.  My friend has a bunch.  Packaging is surprisingly solid.  I didn't get a chance to listen, but he claims the sound is pretty good as well, ripped straight from the game itself.
