Quote 1- "Thank you very much" "You know, we used to live out here, like right over there, I mean Ikey still lives over there, and so." "The last time I came to the Queen Mary they wanted to kick me because we didnt look like Liberatchi" "But thats ok, cause I have a lot of Liberatchi inside of me."
-Cedric Zavala

Ouote 2-"I think it is a very, very sad day,
when the only way you can express
yourself is through slam dancing.
Are you all typically white people.
Y'all look like it to me, look at that,
you learned that from the TV.
You didn't learn that from your best friend,
your a robot, your a sheep.
Baaa Baaa Baaa Baaa Baaa,
I have a microphone and you dont, your a sheep,
you watch tv way to much.
Baaa Baaa Baaa."
-Cedric Zavala

Please add anything If you have it.

The first one is from the ATP preformance in Long beach and the other is from Sydney Big Day Out 26th January 2001, when they were in ATD-I.

There is not one other topic that has ever discussed the Wisdom that cedric shares at the concerts. so... :slap2:

ah, it's sad but true

Also, I haven't seen Cedric live, so here's a Maynard quote:

"Are ya happy?"
Crowd: "YEAH!"
"How about in french, which is oui, if you didn't know it."
"Weeeeeee"
"And in spanish! Sii!"
"Seeeee!"

yeah, we see...

this qoute may not be wisdom, but more so comedy. i will share it anyway, though. at the seatlle show in 2003 cedric threw the micstand at a pair of monitors in front of him. during the song people were throwing water around and some got on stage. between songs he stated something along the lines of...."watch out where that water goes, you wouldnt want to hurt these beautiful monitors."

i found that humorous..especially with the sarcastic tone he used when he said it....

that's the problem, Cedric himself IS relaxed, it's those belligerent idiots in the crowd who need to relax. And he did not fuck up ATDI, and even if he did, so fuckin' what??? Leave one band to start another one which is a 100 times better. I wouldn't blame him

to keep this on topic,

"how's my hair?" - Jon

I refuse to quote Cedric - especially since I don't know any quotes by him.

This quote is what give meaning to what the Mars Volta are all about.

"The idea was to have a band that was free of boxes, free of conceptual limitations. We both knew that would mean a lot of sacrifice, a lot of broken hearts and a lot of change in our life. But we were both willing to accept that so that the music would not suffer."

I'm not exactly sure who said that, but Cedric did say this at some interview...

“Hopefully everything that we do in the future won’t be connected. Everything will be different, I hope.”
