Could any of you please recommend some good albums by (preferably modern) progressive-ish bands?
Atm i'm getting into a lot of concept albums etc etc.
Examples of some of the stuff i own and am really into so far:

Between The Buried And Me - Alaska
Blood Has Been Shed - Novella Of Uriel/Spirals
Botch - An Anthology Of Dead Ends
Burst - Origo
Coheed And Cambria - Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness
Converge - Jane Doe
The Dillinger Escape Plan (with Mike Patton) - Irony Is A Dead Scene
Dredg - El Cielo, Leitmotif
Explosions In The Sky - The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place
The Fall Of Troy - Ghostship Demos
GY!BE - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antenna To Heaven, F#A#oo, Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada
Isis - Oceanic, Panopticon
John Frusciante - Shadows Collide With People
Johnny Truant - The Repercussions Of A Badly Planned Suicide
All tmv stuff, fairly obviously
Meshuggah - I, Catch 33
Necrophagist - Epitaph
Opeth - The Ghost Reveries, Blackwater Park (want to check out more albums by them though)
Pelican - March Into The Sea, The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw
Red Sparowes - At The Soundless Dawn
Sikth - The Trees Are Dead And Dried Out Wait For Something Wild
Tool - Lateralus, Aenima

Mostly i'm looking for stuff like tmv, opeth, dredg, coheed and cambria etc.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I've been meaning to buy albums buy oceansize, cave in and aereogramme for a while. Cave in sound really good, i like what i've heard off jupiter & until your heart stops. Heard a few tracks off vheissu by thrice as well, they're really good, particularly The Earth Will Shake, which is strange considering i hated the artist in the ambulance.

Thanks, i'll check them all out :)

Circa Survive - Juturna

"do it."

Edit: They've toured with Dredg and comparisons could certainly be made with Coheed & Cambria, especially in terms of vocals.

the first band that came to my mind was Kayo Dot.

then Maudlin Of The Well seeing as they are practically the same band.

and what other people said, especially Melvins and Cave-In. Maybe check out some Godhead as well.

and while I'm here.... hang on....

maybe Acid Mothers Temple
Bark Psychosis - Hex
Boredoms - Vision Creation Newsun
Hood - Cold House (sorry if someone already mentioned this)
Irepress - samus octology
Nine Horses - snow borne sorrow
Part Chimp - I Am Come (maybe, they're like a mix between post-rock and noise)

I would recommend the Australian progressive rock act Cog and their album The New Normal. Their music is suitably heavy and hard-hitting but it's also melodic and has a lot of texture. In my eyes, that's a difficult balance for a heavy band to achieve. I just bought their album not long ago to prepare for seeing them at the Big Day Out this year. Highly recommended!

Yeah, for Kayo Dot check out "Choirs of the Eye". (it is an album)

It is one of my favorite things like, evar! For real.

On a related note, I have resisted listening to the new album leak, and it comes out in like 5 days. I am excited.
