i know that this could all be done in drunkship, but since it is really bursting at the seams it might be a cool idea to create a seperate forum. i mean there is a music besides tmv subforum, why not a movie subforum. there are many movie fans here in the comatorium, one of mars voltas biggest influences (if not THE biggest, as cedric stated in interviews) are movies, so it wouldn't really be devious or out of place. imo.
it's not a really specialized topic (just as music), everyone could participate in such a forum (even more than in "cut that city").

This is a great idea. There would have to be a way in order to pre-view snapshots of the movie, or get reviews, or some backround of the movie. Otherwise, it's just people suggesting movies they think are good without any way for the user to decide for themself whether it's worth buying/renting.

I don't think there are enough movie topics to make a subforum necessary but Mumbling of Citadels could be turned into a media subforum for music/movies/art/etc.

are there enough music topics? (--> mumbling of citadels somehow works)

many forums aren't necessary, but it still would be nice. there are tons of movie threads, the pinned "movies" thread in drunkship is 162 pages long. please, someone create a movie subforum...

There are millions of possible topics, but people don't make millions of topics. People originally came here for music, it's a music forum. If there was a massive flood of movie topics i could see it happening. At the moment there isn't even a movie topic on the front page of drunkship.

i just did it again and it was still there. maybe because it is pinned and 162 pages long.
plus there's the "zombies! zombies! zombies!" thread, an "E.T." thread, a "Style Wars" Thread, a "Wicker Man" thread, a "Six feet under" thread (even better idea: a Movie/ TV thread!), a "The Squid and the Whale" thread, a "Gundam Wing" thread, a "Elephants Dream" thread, a "Takahi Miike" thread, a "hayao Miyazaki" thread, a "lonely hearts" thread a "casino royale" thread, a "dr who" thread, a "avatar: the last airbender" thread and "movie list" thread that i just bumped. thats 15 movie threads on the first 5 pages. not bad, if you keep in mind how full of junk and spam this forum (i mean drunkship) is.
please don't tell me that people come here in order to just talk about music. are we in the same forum?

Alright, we've all decided that this is a good idea, but now we need to decide the name for the forum and use its' catchiness to woo Theory into making the forum.
