Took me some time to get into BoC but I think they're awesome. Just listen to Twoism or their Trans Canada Highway EP ... great stuff imo.
Also: Op:l Bastards ... they got those all bleepy and retro-futuristic synthesizers from back in the 70s ... and some cool songs too. Too bad they're not around anymo'.

PS: James is both: overrated as fuck, but very talented and genuine as well ...

I've come around to Rash's way of thinking now. I didn't use to like Boards that much, but I'm on serious Music Has the Right kick right now.

actually took me a while to "get them" as well.

i was all "MORE LIKE BOREDS OF CANADA"

now i cant get enough

i've been addicted to "a few old tunes" by them. some interesting bits with acoustic instruments and such.

"geogaddi" is their best LP in my opinion. listening to it while driving through country side or looking out the window on a plane... is just so amazing.

I just got drukqs yesterday, and it's my favorite Aphex Twin/RDJ album so far.
"Vordhosbn" and "Mt Saint Michel + Saint Michaels Mount" are my favorite songs on it at the moment.

The first Xploding Plastix album is really good for a time, but it's too long.

An old classic for me, both cover and song-wise. At first you think it sounds too dated for its own good, but then all those straightforward synths and sequenced patterns just work magic. Definitely much more transcendent than Tangerine Dream to me.

this album is fucking amazing

that always kind of occurs me when i'm gonna get some older techno

how old is this exactly? etc, etc. i don't know why it occurs to me, but for some reason i just usually think that if its old its gonna sound dated. even tho i love kraftwerk. i'll check out this "stuntman"

is it ambience? i tend to try to avoid most krautrock, just too trippy for me

i'd put stuntman right up there with autobahn as for the best old electronica albums.
