Got by xenophanes today. This man ships fast! Add it to the record lockbox along with se dice test, please heat this... test, my 4 versions of the Frances single, and the rest of my Volta albums! Now I want the Frances single test and the mispress Frances single test!!

Out of curiosity, how big is you collection ? And do you have any pic of it ?

Sadly I have been too much of a lazy ass to take a pic of my collection.  Its big...  My partner is out this weekend so maybe while i have downtime i'll finally get around to it.  Basically, I have almost EVERYTHING except for GitD Frances set and Amputechture slipmat and 7" black vinyl Wax promo.  I think i have everything else including omar except for Blue Minor Cuts..., Black Apocalypse and a white cover version of the offlabel Vicarious Atonement.    Its easier to list what i don't have.  I have lots of doubles too (not amp, deloused, or frances sadly).  Even have the 3 GSL singles (Ikey, Cedric, Omar) and Cedric's Fall on Deaf Ears 7" from way back.

 

I'll do my best to make some TMVPorn for yall this weekend.

What are the four versions you have of the Frances single?

 

 

I have the picture disc, green single, misspress single on black, and GitD single (because apparently someone broke up the set or something????? There's a dude on discogs selling the GitD set without the single just the frances album and red cover and he totally needs to sell it to me!!!)

 

 

The picture disc is The Widow single though, with Frances track as b-side.

I suppose you're technically correct. Frances is and always has been a "B-side" (/title track).

I still prefer the Frances side.

Damn man! I think your collection is now more complete than mine! I haven't bothered going back an getting all the cor variations on some of the albums yet. Always keep meaning to, but end up buying other stuff. I just need to do it already.

O I might still be missing a green "please heat this..." Too. I always forget but I have two of one color. Never sure which.

Edit: the collection is ridiculous. Goliath remix is framed up on my wall. And to think it all started when I managed to get a brown se dice... It's all downhill (uphill?) from there! But, at least I have something to waste my steady paycheck on.

No there's definitely a clear blue and a clear green. They are supposed to be the same rarity but I've only really had a shot at the blue for any reasonable price. Now the yellow xenophanes? That was fucking impossible to find for any almost price for a long time. But, bundling will get great deals!

Edit: now where the fuck is my German antemasque vinyl?! It shipped on 12/5 and I am very impatient. Every single day I expect it on my doorstep!

well, not really technically: it's the A side of Frances The Mute single vinyl (marble green or black) with The Widow live as B-side. While The Widow single on cd or vinyl out in Uk (and some other places, cd was released even here in Italy) features Frances track as B-side.   

I've missed lots of releases and I really can't consider myself that big collector anymore (I think both of you bought quite more stuff than me) but as far as I remember Absence (US release) and Octopus Koolaid were the only ORL vinyl releases I missed until The Mars Volta were still active. I bought the gold and silver Deloused though and a couple of Bosnian Rainbows European vinyl too.

Those Bosnian rainbows bundles from clouds hill were super tempting. But then I found myself wanting all the color variations (like four or something) and felt stupid and bought none. Just the SH colors. Now I've seen Bosnian rainbows on black floating around. When the hell did they press black?? It certainly wasn't in the first run when it was initially released. I'll probly end up buying the eventually as the sound on translucent color isn't really so deep sounding.

Also, sounds like BR might release another album next year too? Fuckin 2015 is gonna be great for music if these guys get all their planned releases out!

It was released in black during the first run when it was initially released. Also, the Clouds Hill pressing sounds worse than the SH pressing.
