just wanted to draw attention to a new British band. If I have to make crappy comparisons I will but it's not easy to build a picture of their sound (that phrase sounded ridiculous)....so Tool, crossed with Biffy Clyro...crossed with Cooper temple clause without the shite....that still doesn't cover it...don't let that description put you off...just check them out

anyone else heard of them?

if you're a downloader check out Catalyst, massive bereavement or Remember where you are

A fellow Comatorium (Leopheard - thanks again if you're reading this) turned me onto them, really good band, very solid debut album.

Some songs even sound a bit like Faith No More. It's cool that almost every song sounds different, even the vocals.

Yeah, their album is really fantastic. Possibly my choice as release of the year. Its only draw back is that at times the songs seem to drag on.

I saw them play at a festival some time ago. During the first song I was like "pretty great".. But it all went downhill from there. Boring, boring, boring and nothing original.

Yeah they played Warwick university and there were only like.. 5 people watching. Kinda funny. So we got to talk to them after the show. They posted a bit on their message board and gave away guitars and stuff. As I said.. nice people.

Amazing band...as far as "new" bands goes they're basically the only ones who can compete with The Mars Volta. Unlike fuckers like Interpol who shit out records that have been made 400,000 times already

Hey guys.

I can't seem to find much about Oceansize on the internet, and I was wondering if the album is worth buying. I'd have to order it, as it's not in stores here, and I can't find a torrent of it anywhere..

Thanks.

I like Oceansize a lot, especially cuz none of their songs sound the same.

But currently my favorite British band would have to be Amplifier, those guys are amazing live.
