Figured a few people on here might be interested in this.

Johann Scheerer of Clouds Hill Recordings in Hamburg, Germany edits and publishes a book sized annual magazine, each with a specific theme.

The most recent issue (limited to 2000 copies) is on Pain and features an interview w/ Omar discussing the death of his mother, Latin culture & some of his experiences growing up.

I messaged them via the Notes to Consider Facebook page a couple of months ago when the publication was announced and was sent one for free, but they’re currently available here for €5

Thank you!!

I messaged them back in November, too, but have never received a copy. There's also a text by Eugene Robinson (of Oxbow), Lydia Lunch and Patrick Wagner (of German band "Gewalt") in it!

Will scan if nobody else does.

This book/zine is truly a work of art. I highly recommend buying it. A lot of beauty for a low price.

Anybody who's still only interested in reading the interview and will definitely not buy the zine, PM me.

Thank you so much for sharing. That was a deep read, very emotional. Almost dropped a tear or two.

I know that wasn't the subject, but I'm often a bit disappointed that Omar never comes accross the "creation" part in interviews. He never talks about music in itself. It's always what comes before he creates, and what comes after. I'd be very interested in knowing how he does create music and atmospheres and his own conception of his work. But he said himself that he doesn't listen to his work after he finished them so that's understandable.

I bought the book in the end.

Thanks for the effort/PM AVV, but tbh it’s really blurry and it’s pretty hard to read on my phone.

Oh I see. You can't enhance the picture size on imgur when using a mobile device. You'll have to use a PC or use the function in your browser that opens the non-mobile version of a website, then click on the picture and zoom in.
