Listen to the song Calculating Infinity and tell me Chris doesn't have groove.

part of Chris' appeal is how groove based his stuff is.

once you can play Aphex Twin songs on drums i think it should be pretty obvious you know what the fuck is up with a beat.

Everything I've heard of Coheed since Chris joined sounds like it did with Eppard, so he's being underused i think. Dude needs to be able to run wild like he did with DEP.

Of course he's underused, Coheed and Cambria never knew how to write anything interesting for drums.

Or maybe Chris doesn't want to play that way anymore. Supposedly Coheed's going to do a prequel album. Who knows? Maybe he'll go apeshit. If he doesn't, that's cool. As long as he's doing what he wants, I can't really question him.

Pennie didn't drum on the new album, Taylor Hawkins did, but I haven't heard live stuff so I can't judge
anyway nights one and two of this would be pretty cool

yeah

but considering they're all a bunch of cheap little jews

they'll probably be like

*plays Mother May I*

"well alright guys, now that we're done playing Welcome Home and a bunch of other songs no one cares about.....

good night, New York! God bless you all!"

*leaves*

*crowd burns venue*

There's like two other threads about this band.

They are recording their new album right now due out in 2010. It's the prequel to the whole saga. Also there's new KillAudio stuff out worth checking out plus a couple new Prize Fighter Inferno tracks.

yeah that album was not the best but im hoping they rediscovered melody for this new album. IMO their 2nd and 3rd cd's a phenomenal.
im thinkin the new album will draw upon elements from the 1st three albums cuz it's going to be the prequel. i think the point of the Neverender tour was to rediscover their roots or whatever. should be a good cd

Why is it cool to hate Coheed and Cambria? Kind of like how it also seems 'cool' to hate Rush.

I hate Coheed and Cambria for one very important reason: I don't like the music.

Trust me, I've tried. Not my thing.
