q and not u's drummer is also sexy, i love his highhat work...still don't know his name, though

daney carey has been a favorite for a while now, maybe the favorite

tony is solid, does exactly what he needs to do, and was solid when i saw sparta live this past weekend

tony does great stuff.

jimmy vela drums for Recover, and he is memorable to watch, even if its just rock drumming.

i dont play drums and i dont care too much about technical stuff as long as its interesting and/or moves the beat well. for me a lot of technical percussion just looses me, like at work i have to listen to dream theater and rush, and even tool does this occasionaly, where i think they're trying to do too much and it puts me off.

Yeah dude, Mitch Mitchell was great. His jazzy/triplet based style was extremely original at that time in rock music, and is still is pretty sweet to listen to.

of course, jon theodore, one of the most original and fluid drummers i've heard in a long time. i love sittin down at my kit and tryin to figure out his beats. the most fun ones to play are the verse one in track 7(on ditc) and everything on track 3. rock on, jon!

also travis barker demands props, because while he plays in the some of the shittiest bands i've heard, he is probably one of the most solid and progressive drummers around right now. get in some good fucking bands, dude!

and finally, while i really don't listen to jazz much, taking a jazz improv course in school has opened my eyes to some of the amazing drummers of the jazz world. jack dejohnette would have to be my favorite playing right now, just because of his unbelievably original and musical style.
