Nah but seriously, Tim "Herb" Alexander

the original and the best

He's from Primus right?

Yep, their second drummer after Jay Lane (who drums for the Charlie Hunter Trio/Quartet/Sextet - whatever and Sausage)

I read somewhere that brain (who later joined the band) was in the band before herb or was going to be but broke his wrist or something Tim came in.

Anyways:
Jack DeJonette is awsome
Brian Blade is a jazz improv guy i saw with the sf jazz colelctive, he was fucking awsome. Their were fat improve sections and teh beats he were fucking wicked, and his fills were like nothing ive heard before. Not speed wise but jsut the off beats and strange accents he did were damn cool.
Two other damn good players are steve smith and dave Weckl, both jazz/fusion guys now. All my other favorites have been mentioned before.

My favorite drummer is Meg White from The White Stripes and Brant Bjork - Kyuss/Fu Manchu/Mondo Generator.

no joke, Meg White is probably one of the worst drummers in mainstream music history.
