David Bowie 'Reality' Jukebox

I quite like what I'm hearing on 'New Killer Star', very "Low" or "StationToStation". Not sure about the rest yet. I just really hope he changes the cover art before the actual release. That cover is balls

YES, I shall listen to this in a bit. Heathen was great, far better than anything he's done since Scary Monsters, so I have a lot of anticipation for this one.

i respect your opinion, but have you ever listened to earthling or outside? i dont mean listened, as in went to amazon and listened to some 30 second preview clips, but listened to the albums as wholes. theyre both great albums despite what the critics might claim. now if you have listened to those albums and simply dont like them, just forget everything ive said. honestly though im not gonna stick up for bowie completely, i cant stand his "let's dance" era.

:jammin:

and if you like the Berlin era the most (Low, Heroes, Lodger) then you must check out Kraftwerk. If it wasn't for them that whole period of Bowie wouldn't have existed.

'StationToStation' today, but 'Hunky Dory', 'Ziggy Stardust', 'Aladdin Sane', 'Diamond Dogs', and 'Low' are all equally awesome and amazing.

On another note, I agree with your leaving off of 'David Bowie', 'Space Oddity', 'Pin-ups', 'Tonight', and 'Never Let Me Down' (especially the last 2). But I probably would have kept 'Let's Dance' and left off 'hours...'. 'hours...' was so terrible, I've owned it for years and have never been able to get all the way through it.

I have to say that I liked "hours..." a lot,I wouldnīt say it is his best album but to me it was brilliant.

1.Outside was good, but Earthling was crap. Just another of his failed experimentations that got recognition because Reznor hooked on for the remix. 1.Outside should have gotten the recognition that Earthling did, Eno is all over that thing, that alone makes it better.

But, Heathen was Bowie's best album since Scary Monsters. 1.Outside was good, but it was still experimental Bowie and not traditional/archetypal Bowie. It's the same element that probably makes most people skip over the experimental second half of the 70's Bowie/Eno records.

Well no, in the sense that I have to wear that kind of thing at work.
Erm, but I suppose I could be........how about I seductively unbotton my collar and loosen my tie?
