Not a big fan of "Worldwide Underground" but her other stuff is golden. Such a unique musician. She did some tunes with Madlib recently.

This is the coolest performance you've never seen (J Dilla production, for those that didn't know):

Didn't Cha Know

From the same show:

Penitentiary Philosophy

Rimshot

Ye Yo

Here's two really great songs from her North Sea Jazz Festival performance (she looks incredibly hot here):

Booty/Kiss Me

I Want You

Yea, Common's songs "The Light," and "Come Close," were also written about her. I'm pretty "A Life in the Day of Benjamin André (incomplete)" was written about her as well.

Also a person on Youtube msbadu2003 has just stated an hour ago that Erykah Badu's new album will be out 26th Feb 2008.

I know we can't take this as gospel but hopefully this is fact!!

www.erykah-badu.com states that the album will be called KAHBA and will be out in Feb although originally Erykah told someone November 07 but it must have been pushed back.

I've been around, just don't post in Dunkship anymore. Good to hear from you.

Here's a new song from Erykah's forthcoming album "The Kabah":

Honey (Prod. 9th Wonder)

Nice jam for a sunny day.

Well she has definately been working hard on her music as 2008 will be the year of Erykah as she will release 3 albums, doubling the output of her current back catelogue.

Thanks for the link to the new song Hottnikkels, song sounds alright, a bit more modern production with the glitches and beeps, fairly commercial sounding Rn'B don't know what to think exactly, not really dissapointed with it, but not really that impressed I'm sure the upcoming albums will be progressive works as I know she loves to push the boundaries.

Again is there anywhere I can find some audio live show of her, she has been touring a bit recently and supposibly has played a couple of new songs from her new albums.

Now this is cool- i found out about her through THe Roots (Roots, Roots!) and was hooked. Baduizm is incredible and, what's that one song..............

..

.

.......

ah, 'You Got Me', classic.

P.S.- is 9th wonder producing the whole album? not sure if i support that, in terms of experimentalism.

it's true, they have a son together, and broke up before the song came out, but i think they're together again now.

I haven't listened very much to her stuff, but she seems cool. I occasionally walk around with "Appletree" on my mind.
